John Patrick Bray (screenwriter) is a playwright (2019 O'Neill Semifinalist; 2015 Winner of the Appalachian Festival of Plays and Playwrights); indie screenwriter (Liner Notes, available to stream on Amazon), and associate professor in the Department of Theatre and Film Studies at the University of Georgia. Recent works include The Best American Short Plays 2018-2019, which John edited with an introduction for Applause Theatre and Cinema Books, and his award-winning play Friendly's Fire has been published this year by Next Stage Press. He has an MFA in Playwriting from The Actors Studio Drama School/The New School and PhD in Theatre Studies from Louisiana State University. For a full bio please click here
